MSP implements a no frills biquad formula which sounds by far better than the many analog-wanna-be designs found out there. This was the reason I wanted it available as a VST plugin. However preset management can be tricky. I hope this will get the job done despite some odd behavior of the excellent coefficient calculation available in Max.
As you can see, good sounding filter settings are sometimes hard to find:
